Wedding Planning: Ryan's Journal |

September 22nd There are now 9 days, 3 hours and 22 minutes left to go. Ok, so I'm getting a little frantic. I haven't been sleeping much this past week, and hence my lack of entries. Fortunately, last Saturday was the insanely fabulous bachelorette party, and that was a GREAT de-stresser. Sara planned it, so of course it was brilliant. She hired Susan Bremer, an exotic dancer and stripping instructor, to come and give us all a private lesson. It was a terrific experience and a lot of fun. For more details (I know you're curious), read Sara's journal entry. The planning continues, and I'm trying not to worry about it too much. My dress is all ready to be cleaned and pressed, the men have their tuxedos, and all the boring details about hotels seem to be worked out. The most fun wedding experience this week was my trip to Walnut Creek for my hair and makeup run-through at Changes Salon, which is where we're all going before the wedding. I never go to salons, and I spent most of my visit there feeling kind of clumsy and out of place, like I might knock over one of there little soothing table fountains any minute. But I didn't break anything and actually everyone was very nice. I had my hair done first, and then I had 4 hours to kill before the makeup lady could see me. I considered going shopping while still wearing the tiara, but decided against it. This isn't going to be a very long entry, I'm pretty exhausted. But my parents are coming into town tomorrow, and I'm very excited! And not just because I can send them on shopping errands for me. |
